The Smashbox Prismatic Petal Petal Metal Highlighter ($39.00 for 0.35 oz) is a soft, medium copper base with a stronger orange undertone with shimmer and pearl ranging from pink to purple. It had bigger sparkles and I would consider it a shimmerier highlighter, so if it's not something you like, the finish won't live up to expectations. The duochrome was evident in person; I definitely got hints of peach-copper goodness that transformed into a cooler, fuchsia pink sheen depending on how the light hit my cheeks. The highlighter had medium coverage, more buildable in terms of brightness than color.

The texture felt slightly drier to the touch, although it had the same thicker, more pressed consistency as the gel powder highlighters. It worked best with a moderately dense brush (I've used a typical tapered highlighter brush with no problems) and patted it in, then blended. On me it wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably, but there was some slight shine migration over time.
